Brands of Supervisors Whenever you ask someone what their supervisor is like they will be bound to give you details on how their supervisor completes their job and just what kind of person they really are. These descriptions are where the classification of supervisors begin. First, we have the schmoozer, who schmoozes to get where they are. Then, there’s the control freak, they have to have things their way. Finally, there is the team player, who is seen as the real MVP in all of their employee’s eyes for the countless acts of teamwork they put out to be successful. All three of these styles of supervision play the part, but it becomes obvious who will be successful in their career. For starters, we have the “social butterflies” of the …show more content…
This supervisor is referred to as the team player supervisor. The team player uses their knowledge of their job, their teamwork skills, and their social skills to build up the business to achieve the ultimate success. Whenever there is a situation, this supervisor knows how to reason with the people and give them honest ideas to build the business as a whole. These supervisors work a plan out with their staff, and they are seen to be more reasonable when it comes to working. This supervisor takes responsibility for their actions and enforce the rules properly and fairly. Under the control of this supervisor, the business is a team, and a team always works together. Although they are all supervisors, they are divided into these categories because of the way that they operate a business. One of these categories have no control, another has all of the control, and the final one uses their control to work with their staff. There may be benefits to working with each separate kind of supervisor, but it may be harder with some than it could be with others. Wherever you go in the work force, a supervisor will always be there, and it is possible for any of these styles of supervision to be used by
