In all summer in a day , Ray Bradburry shows that you have to be thankful for the little things. Including things that are unexpected or abnormal. And also that change is difficult to adapt to. With everything uncomfortable comes comfort, and in this case she was called lying, but then had fun talking about the sun.

In the story, Margot is a news girl adapting to the Venus structure. Since she’s been there it's been nothing but tough roads and windy turns. During her school hours, they make poems and sing about the sun. her poem was read aloud and everyone thought she was lying about the sun. Then again the other kids have never seen the sun. So with everything she did about the sun, they intentionally said mean bad things to her. Soon after getting used to the mean names, she grew more comfortable talking about the sun and the other kids started believing her. Mostly because they noticed how devoted she was to the sun.

They also think it's best to enjoy the light and the warmth that Margot mentioned. Although they didn't ever think of the person that brought all of this into their thoughts. Without Margot, the kids wouldn't know what to think of the sun as it was glaring its ray of sunshine upon them. They wouldn't know what to feel either. In all, without Margot they wouldn't know anything about the sun. They didn't know if what the teachers were telling them was true. They had no clue the beauty in the sun.

In conclusion, Ray bradburry shows in this story is you have to be thankful for the amount of time you have with something that comes and goes. And when he means that, he means the sun in particular. He also demonstrates the feelings that Margot gets, and the feelings others have. Sometimes the people around you have the biggest impact on something so

They walked over to the closet door slowly and stood by it. They unlocked the door, even more slowly, and let Margot out.” (4). This scene particularly supports the message of guilt and happiness all at the same time in the short story All Summer in a Day because it shows the guilt part of guilt and happiness. Unlike Margot, they had never gotten the opportunity to see the sun. Hearing her regularly talk about it and even write poems--it brought them despair. They thought that the only way to get even and feel what Margot had felt would be to take that sun away from her...and enjoy it all for themselves. One can argue that the children just didn’t know better, and that is why they behaved like this, but that is in fact a misinterpreted assumption. This is because after they had seen the sun, they were no longer jealous, therefore, they had stopped acting boorish.…

In the midst of the excitement when the sun showed, they forgot about Margot in the closet and she never got to see it. This is an example of how the children, who were were so driven by jealousy, would not let Margot see the sun when she had been suffering for all those years just like they had. Although it does not say it in the book, but after they remember that Margot was in the closet, they seemed to feel bad about what they had…

It rains every day there and no one has seen the sun in a long time, except for a small girl named Margot who is bullied for remembering the sun when the other children don’t. Margot was “a very frail girl who looked as if she had been lost in the rain for years and the rain had washed out the blue from her eyes and the red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair. She was an old photograph dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a ghost.” This confirms what Margot looks like. The story hints that something happened to Margot that caused her to be this way.…

In the story “All Summer In a Day’ Ray Bradbury includes many different metaphors just like how the sun is related to Margot’s hope for happiness. The sun also symbolizes everyone's missing happiness or hope for the one thing that's missing. Margot also has to deal with the other kids teasing and torment about her saying she saw the sun on earth and the kids hate her for that. When the scientists finally said the rain would stop after seven years those kids just had to lock her in the closet because they thought she was lying about seeing the sun as a little kid.…

In this story many of the children on Venus are jealous of Margot’s opportunities and previous life on earth. When children are jealous, they turn against Margot. One example is when she is reading the poem, instead of listening to Margot the students shut her down without even listening. Just because students are jealous it does not mean that they can bully Margot. While this is important theme it is easily seen that if it weren’t for Margot not thinking about what she said or did that this wouldn’t have happened, so overall the important point is that it is needed for everyone to take a minute an think about the results in the end from what they…
