The Enticement
The scorching sun shimmered on the land of Egypt. A group of Ishmaelites were on their way to Egypt, when suddenly they found an unconscious man inside a well, when they were pulling out water for their camels. Joseph woke up and was taken down to Egypt and was sold to one of the Pharaoh’s official, Potiphar, at a slave market. He entered a new land with different culture, language, smell, taste, and people. Joseph lived where people believed in one God but now he is in a region where people worship thousands of gods and idols.
Now Joseph have seen himself in the house of Potiphar and flourished physically with the Lord. Joseph spotted a god-like statue and asked Potiphar, “Who is this that you worship?”

Without hesitation and knowing that Joseph left his coat in her palms, she called her servants over and babbled, “Look,” she added, “this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.”
She kept Joseph’s coat beside her knowing that his master will arrive home shortly. As Potiphar enters the scene, after coming back from a meeting, Potiphar’s wife runs toward him, crying and expecting that Joseph would get punished, and mentioning this story: “That Hebrew slave you brought us came to me to make sport of me. But as soon as I screamed for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.”
She told him, lying through her tongue, “You really thought you could trust this slave? Do you now realize what kind of person he has become?”
After hearing all the ruckus his wife told him, saying, “This is how your slave treated me,” Potiphar exploded in rage. He was enraged at Joseph for not only assaulting his wife but for breaking his trust and
