Summary Of Work Related Injury: A Case Study

DOI: 10/22/2014. Patient is a 32 -year-old male satellite radio technician who sustained a work-related injury when he fell asleep while on road and his truck drove off road and hit a tree.
Per PT daily note dated 5/22/2015, patient feels more functional trunk mobility. Pain is primarily at the central aspect of the sternum, secondarily in the upper and middle thoracic spine. Pain is rated as 3/10 at the cervicothoracic spine at best and 8/10 at its worst. Patient demonstrated mild limitation with functional activities. On examination of the thoracic spine, range of motion (ROM) shows sidebending is 90 % of normal bilaterally and rotation is 75% of normal bilaterally. Gross cervical ROM is 80% of normal and lumbar active ROM is 50% of normal
