In this paragraph I will evaluate Charlie, Charlie is talented and tough. I believe that Charlie is talented because she is good at sports and she is on the soccer team. Charlie made the team by trying her best and by giving all she had out in the field. Even though she was not trying out for soccer for her own good, but to compete with her sister, she still has talent and is one of the best soccer players in that team. When Charlie is out in the field playing soccer, she does not let anyone get in her way, like in chapter eight says “she proved one thing. She is fearless and won't be beaten down. You can't teach that. Charlie pays like she has nothing to lose” (Tigelaar 143). Another personality that Charlie is being tough. When Charlie is out playing the game of soccer, she does not care how she looks, she just wants to get the job done. In chapter eleven, her sister Krista tells her “ I think I should be more like you. You are not afraid to speak your mind. You stand up for others. You know who you are, and you don't pretend to be something you’re not. You’re tough, you’re fearless. And you’re strong” (Tigelaar 230). Charlie is also tough when she is fighting and protecting her friends, she does not want to lose them and if she has to be tough then she will be …show more content…
While reading this book I wondered I wonder if Samantha will help find the missing girl. one possible answer is yes. I believe that Samantha will do anything to find the missing girls whose name is Jody. Samantha is a girl that whatever she puts her mind to, nobody can tell her otherwise. On page 48, while she was talking to her friends about the search, her friend said to her “ But you’re only fifteen” ( Tigelaar 48) but Sam answered “Yeah, well, so was Mary when God told her she was going to give birth to Jesus” ( Tigelaar 48). There is nothing that will stop Sam from searching and trying to find the missing girl, even if that means she will get in trouble with her dad, or even if it means being in the sun too much that will lead her to heat exhaustion. Even though there is prove that Sam will find Jody, there is also reasons that will prove that she will not find Jody. Samantha’s Mother is an a rehab center because she could not stop drinking, so Sam does not think that she has her mom's approval even though she wants to help to look for Jody, so she wants her mother to call her and tell her that it will be okay. Sam feels like her mother abandoned her because she never calls or send postcards. Sam feels like she does not have a mother and she lost her forever. Another reason why I think that Samantha will not help find the missing girl is because of her dad. Even though Sam do not let her Dad get in
