We embrace it, we digest the cold hard facts even if they seem daunting and the challenges insurmountable. We shed our inhibitions, lower our guards leaving us vulnerable and exposed. A complete stranger to humanity, lets name him Ford Prefect from a small planet in the vicinity of Betelguse, would consider it rather strange that we would ever take the chance. So why do we ? Well, most people would say it is the conclusion to the process of metamorphosis that motivates one to take on the challenge. Dame Nature would support the argument. She gifted us the wonderful sight of a butterfly emerging from the wondrous mess that is the evolution of a humble caterpillar to a divine butterfly. The same way the fantastical beast, the phoenix is said to rise from the ashes of its predecessor. The end result of our metamorphosis is as beautiful. Take the example of adolescence. In the rather short span of five years, we transform from rather awkward, freckled and naive kids to responsible, confident and mature individuals. (I can't help if you screwed it up.) It really is beautiful. One may ask what is my purpose here writing rather mundane facts and observations which in hindsight might seem quite so obvious to the average …show more content…

But, in the end it was all worth it not just because it made me the person I am today (I must admit I am a teeny-weeny bit proud of it too.) but because the process of it was quite so wonderful that I can't help but reminisce little moments from it everyday. This article is as much a personal celebration of my metamorphosis as it is an encouragement to everyone reading this to undertake their own journey of reinvention. A great friend of mine always says, "What motivates me to work and study so hard is the difference between the person I am and the person I want to be." Well, he could not be more right. I would like to conclude my rather short article here on a subject so vast with what is so special the nature has ingrained in us. You see, even the caterpillar undergoes the process of metamorphosis only once in his entire lifetime. But us humans, we have the gift of perpetual change, of metamorphoses. What would our lives be if not for constant change ? (Rhetoric. Don't try to answer it.
