The article, Academic Integrity, speaks about plagiarism, the different ways in which one can commit plagiarism and the steps one can take to avoid plagiarism. What I have learnt from this article are two things: 1. That one can unknowingly be committing plagiarism when paraphrasing and summarizing and 2. That if one uses the words of someone who reviewed your writing without acknowledging that individual then it is considered plagiarism. In both situations the individual is obtaining information in the form of ideas and words from an outside source. This article has shown me that when writing a piece one cannot rely too heavily on the words and ideas of an outside source, but one should instead utilize one’s own concepts and wording whilst
