Chapter 9: During the beginning of the 1800’s economic transformation took place throughout the country as production increased and expanded. The economic opportunities of the Industrial Revolution and the Market Revolution boosted the economy. Despite economic upside, both revolutions, consequences ensued such as the growing difference between the south and the rest of the country, as well as, societal structure changes. During this time, a revival of reformers planned to instill discipline and religious morals.
