My food product, Avocado Egg Rolls, is focused on the food trend of health and wellness, globalization and convenience which is combined into one package. Avocado is known as a superfood, that provides an abundance of nutritional content which individuals can benefit from. They contain a healthy monounsaturated fatty acid and nearly 20 vitamins and minerals. Together, this aids in combating chronic diseases by decreasing the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart and cardiovascular disease while promoting a healthy complexion and hair, increased energy and overall lower weight (Webberley, 2016) . It’s a unique way to receive the nutritional benefits of this vegetable with protein, providing a rich amino acid meal and or snack. Its high concentrations in vitamin c may be appealing to various consumers, as a benefit. From the input to food processing stages in the food system, would present an area of concern. This is due to the fact in finding a company which has established standards and is reputable in the poultry section. There must be an establishment of the standards I have as an entrepreneur, about food safety such as how the chicken are raised, what they are fed and how the processing of the poultry works. Thus, this requires funding and labor which are required for those tasks to occur. Harvesting the zucchini plant will also be time consuming, and consideration of the use of fertilizer and pesticides according to the farmer standards may be have to be compromised, making it a lengthy process. Considering the fact that a cilantro dip comes along with package, extra packaging must be used to ensure that it does not spill, and the product must be kept frozen at all times until consumption, due to concern of the spoilage of the food.
