Suicide is the 10 leading cause of deaths in the United States and it’s the 11 in North Carolina. Postpartum is a common form of depression in new mothers. This depression is a feeling of sadness after a woman has given birth and also when women have a fear of hurting their baby. This type of depression could last weeks to months after the child was born.
