Sugarcane Press mud
Sugarcane Press mud - Sugarcane press mud is the residue of the filtration of sugarcane juice. The clarification process separates the juice into a clear juice that rises to the top and goes to manufacture, and a mud that collects at the bottom. The mud is then filtered to separate the suspended matter, which includes insoluble salts and fine bagasse. This industrial waste is mostly used as soil conditioner, soil fertilizer and for wax production.

Extracellular or bacterial cellulose (BC) synthesized by nonpathogenic aerobic bacteria in a culture medium containing carbon and nitrogen sources can be promising biodegradable nanofibers for composite materials because of their excellent mechanical properties [1]. Although BC is chemically identical to plant-based cellulose, it exists in extremely pure form and does not contain any hemicellulose, lignin, pectin or wax materials [2]. In addition, it has higher crystallinity, degree of polymerization, specific surface area, and significantly higher mechanical properties compared to the plant-based cellulose [3,4]. It has some other unique properties, such as low density, low thermal expansion as well as high optical transparency [1,5]. As a…

Just east of the Brazos River, lies the land now known as Sugar Land. It was originally owned by the Mexican government and was acquired by Stephen F. The land was rich with tall sugar cane, which explains the name. Williams brother, Nathanial, purchased the land from him in 1838 and at some point, built the Oakland Plantation.…

I am writing to you after you have expressed some concerns as to deciding whether to replace the ‘Subjects of Interest List’, or SOIL project, or replace it with a program that will focus its resources on just high crime neighborhoods. After doing my research and thinking long and hard about it, I decided to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of each idea and conclude with what I believe is best for Emerson. I also have based my decision after reflecting upon Pastastan and how I improved the crime rates with that city. There are many ways to approach crime that I have noticed that work for cities. Approaches such as increasing police numbers, having more rapid responses, the broken window approach, hot spots and punitive laws are…

Through this Fischer esterification reaction, it was possible to learn about using a Reflux condenser to run a reaction as well as purifying the product through various washes and extractions along with simple distillation. In addition, the product of the experiment was carefully analyzed based upon boiling point, physical characteristics, IR and 1H NMR. The overall objective was to successfully isolate the product of isopentyl acetate and observe the purity of this product.…
