In the ad the flooring company 's slogan states, "laid by the best", but when you turn the image upside down it looks like a female is masturbating. The advertiser is using this specific image to associate it with the slogan. That way, the consumer can connect it with the image.

The arrow in this ad is pointing to a piece of lettuce that resembles money. The subliminal works here because the advertiser insinuates that by eating this sandwich the consumer can turn the sandwich into money because of its low cost. The advertiser is using an embedded visual to influence the mind of the consumer.

The subliminal on this package is on the red letter s by the word berry explosion. By placing a red letter s next to explosion the first three letters spelled sex. In this ad, the advertiser is using word association, color and sex to influence the consumers mind.

During this experiment, the logo of either Apple or IBM was flashed very quickly that the students were not aware it had occurred. They accomplished a task that was designed to determined their creativity and the many uses for a brick. The students that were exposed to the Apple logo came up with more uses for a brick than the students exposed to the IBM logo. They also determined that the students exposed to the Apple logo were more creative than the students exposed to the IBM logo.

21) •Explain the subliminal image and how it works. This image shows a woman with her mouth open towards a seven inch sandwich. The image has a slogan of, "it 'll blow your mind away" as well as the words "BK Super seven incher" underneath the image.
22) •Examine the success/failure of the image. Although, this is an example of subliminal advertising its delivering really fails. The depiction of sex in its ads I find it very offensive. The image of a sexy man or a woman selling a product is one thing but this image is a bit much. IT depicts the illusion of woman practicing oral sex. I don’t find a connection between that and a BK sandwich.
