I enjoy the perspective you focused on throughout your discussion. In response to your last question, does your subconscious mind do any critical thinking; I would like to say no it doesn’t. From reading the chapters from the text and applying those scenarios to my life I think that yes, critical thinking and your subconscious mind work together to problem solve and form decisions, however, I do not think your subconscious mind has the ability to do any critical thinking. Without our subconscious mind we would be unable to reflect on previous life experiences and use those to better our future knowledge. The text uses an example of driving a car. We use our subconscious mind when we are driving and talking to our passenger at the same time.
