One of the days that I had come into the classroom, the class had a substitute teacher for half the day. The student that was placed on the behavior contract acted a lot better in class when he was receiving positive feedback. The positive feedback helped keep him on task and focused throughout the day. He did not get called out in front of the class for misbehaving or get put on timeout. Instead, the substitute teacher calmly talked to him privately. She handled the situation in a positive way which really helped the student with his behavior. This day, I noticed a huge improvement in the student’s behavior and his
