The severity of my stress depends on the amount of work have to do that week and whether I am able to cope with that stress. The frequency of my stress has been as high as 7 times a day. When intervention is not utilized my stress symptoms of shoulder, and back pains persists with minimal relief. What tends to improve my stress is relaxing through either watching television, participating in a mindfulness activity, or exercising. There was no empirical data that I came across in my research on the mean scores of frequency of daily stress. My history of stress has derived from being in school over the years without taking time to relax and enjoy life. There was no empirical data on the duration of stress on average to do a comparison to my stress. However, based on my research the duration of stress on average depends on whether the stress is acute or chronic. For instance, acute stress can be less than three months and chronic stress is more than three months. My stress level is more chronic since it has been more than three months. Acute stress consists of changes in existing conditions or a disruption of the status quo, whereas chronic stressors are those that are an ongoing aspect of the internal or external environment (Hall et al., 2012). However, my stress is not as chronic in symptom severity every day. The duration of my stress does not hinder me from functioning in daily life. As I have been learning different forms of intervention for stress the duration that I experience stress is not as high compared to my first two weeks of baseline
