Myers-Briggs Personality Traits

Organizational behavior is important in a company as a whole as well as applying it to your personal life. Understanding organizational behavior can bring improvement to a company as well as the company’s employees. One way to figure out a person’s behavior is to have them complete a Myers-Briggs personality test. After answering a series of questions you are given your results in the form of four letters and are told which each letter means. Once I finished the test I was given the results of introvert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (INFJ) and a temperament of NF. These results point out where my strengths and weaknesses are. By the results showing me the areas of where I am strongest and weakest, this will help me to become a better employee and co-worker. The following will discuss my personal personality type as well as past and present experiences in which they pertain to my personality type.

We are sometimes mistaken as an extrovert because of our genuine concern for other, but we are true introverts that are tied intimately to a select few (“Jung Typology Test”, 2016). I love my personal time as well as working alone. Being content with working alone as oppose to working with others is not always a good thing, especially in the workplace and sometimes school. I prefer to work alone as I feel I get more work done this way. Although I like to work alone, I have learned over the years to work well with others. There should be mutual accountability in the workplace. Mutual accountability holds everyone accountable for their actions. This can produce a healthy organization (Kahlib Fischer, PhD., 2012). Being an introvert in the workplace also can hinder how well my job is done. It is hard being an introvert when having to work with the public. I am very reserved, but when talking with customers or clients I have learned to handle myself
