My definition of community explores how individuals gather together in an area they live and seek social relationships as well as actively participate in that community to create an environment that is dependent on human interaction and change. Therefore, based on definition there can be an challenges to study how people exactly interact with one another in a society, because surveys suggest that not everyone actively participates in community events that have interactions among others, weather that be from personal issues, mental or physical health, or just wanting to be more individualistic rather than wanting to be apart of a group. However, there are opportunities to also research my definition of communities by doing surveys, interviews, and secondary data to determine how active people are in their community, how often, how much they interact with others, and where. In doing so, this can provide data on how well a community is functioning and how interactions among its members seem to be
