In an effort to attract shoppers and increase profits, Whole Foods has been expanding its private label items, 365 Everyday Value and 365 Organic brands. Responding to its health-conscious clientele, Whole Foods has pledged that by 2018 all products in its stores in North America must be labeled to indicate if they contain genetically modified organisms. Also, it seems that every retailer has a loyalty program. Creating a loyalty program is an opportunity for Whole Foods. A loyalty program would increase traffic and help to retain current customers. Whole Foods Market has an opportunity to expand globally. Currently, the company has most of its operations in the United States. This makes the business vulnerable to economic changes in the US.
