The role of social work for child protection includes various functions, using the research knowledge and theory regarding the disorganised attachment that is taken under consideration for assessing children that might be at risk because of being abused or exploited. It is true that social work marks important contribution towards implementation of policy that allows the viability for assessing their influence. On front line, social workers can be identified when services offering are done efficiently. The profession has main contribution for commissioning and developing the needs and identifying the overlap and gaps with the practice of child protection. However, it is to note that there is still a need for such system that frees up exceptional leaders and front line social workers that focuses on the desires and wants of children and families.
