Entry 1 I pull my red hunting hat over my crew cut. I wedge a cigarette between my lips. While I look out from the Thomsen Hill onto the football field. Most sixteen year olds are at the football game with a pretty girl on their arm while I’m walking down to old man Spencer’s house. I finally get to their street and knock on the door. It’s a pretty lengthy hour, so when Mrs. Spencer opened up the door she was in her nightgown and all. She greeted me kindly and escorted me into the study where old Spencer was in his robe. It made me pretty uncomfortable seeing him like that. All bony and wrinkly. I’ll always remember how he talked to me that night. Talking about how life is a game and how I should play by the rules. He keeps going on about how I’m getting kicked out of Pencey and how I never apply myself. He just kept going on and on. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had too many up an excuse to get out of there. He was going about how he had to flunk me. I quickly cut him off and make up an excuse so I could get out of …show more content…
Stradlater is going on a date tonight with Jane. Her and I spent a lot with her wandering around Maine last summer, and I still like her a lot. He really didn't get how special she was, so I explained one of her peeves. Whenever she played checkers and she got her kings she never used them. She only used them in the back rows. He didn’t seem to care much still. He asked me to write a composition paper while he was gone. I wrote about how my little brother wrote poetry on his baseball glove so he could read in the outfield. He died of leukemia 3 years ago. When Strad came back, he wasn’t too impressed with my literary genius, and also he wouldn’t tell me what happened on his date. I thought for sure he had tried something on her. More and more just piled up until I took a swing at him. I missed and he got me on the ground and gave me a bloody nose. Yeah, you're welcome for the paper

On the tenth of September, it was a rather dreary late summer evening. Not wanting to start on my homework, I skimmed through some old travel books attempting to plan a trip. The most promising place seemed to be the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan, however the Aztecs were known for human sacrifices and I didn’t want to take any risks. I doubt “being sacrificed by an extinct civilization” is a valid excuse for late homework. After searching a bit longer, I decided on the rather small Anglo Saxon village by the name West Stow.…

Every comment, touch, exchange of endearments, whisper or wink caused Duke's anticipation to grow ever more intense. Whilst the teasing and banter was enjoyable, and added to his appreciation of the woman, it also increased his desire to do something about it, and prove himself to be a man of his word, and to discover if Karmen was a woman of hers. Not that there was much doubt in his mind she would be. Apart from the few hours he'd slept, there wasn't more than five minutes had passed that his mind hadn't been filled with imaginings of what he'd love to be doing with, or to, Karmen. However, the natural eroticism, and not-as-innocent-as-she-looked aura which she exuded and was so blatantly obvious to Duane, was apparently not sensed by Daisy.…
