For as long as we can remember, stories have been told in song. Storytelling in song has been appreciated forever and until now, still used in many places. Later on, those stories evolved into actual songs that people listen to everyday, making the storytellers: songwriters. Both song and stories become magic when put together and send different messages when delivered to the audience. In the time of Beowulf there were no TVs, radios, or cellphones. Their own form of entertainment was to hear the stories of brave warriors or damsels in distress. This allowed storytelling in song’s popularity to grow and spread throughout the villages.
