Steve Jobs—described in such words as “visionary, showman, artist, tyrant, genius, and jerk”—nevertheless left an incredible legacy in the world of computer technology. Karen Blumenthal’s biography is an excellently written, yet candid analysis of Jobs’ life. Blumenthal exercises no restraint in her descriptions of Jobs throughout the book as evidenced in Chapter 22: “It would be easy…to focus on his ugly side—his temper tantrums, his impatience, how cold and uncaring he could be, how ridiculously high his expectations were, and how demanding he was of those around him” (265).
