The community is 90 percent Caucasians mostly with single-family homes. Half of the students will go on the first day, while the others go the next day. The parents will be invited to go to the culture day a week ahead of time. Since 75 % of the parents are a single income worker, letting the parents know ahead of time will allow those to be present for the presentation. The parents that are unable to make it, pictures will be taken and sent to those individuals. Pictures will be on our school website to show case the children’s view on diversity and culture. Since the community does not have ethnic diversity this will allow students and parents to be more aware of how different cultures have arts in their community. The students will be given a rubric, prior to the start of the project so that the expectation is known before hand. This assessment will be worth sixteen points. Each student will also get a grade. The next year this standard will continue to grow and add on the knowledge.
