Hi Chrisanta. We are on the same page since I also think that the Beverly Hillbillies TV show convey full of stereotypes about hillbillies, white trash, and redneck. Many people claim that it is just a comedy TV show; therefore, some people have to be made fun of so that the show can bring laughs to its viewers. However, to me, everything should be in limit, and people should watch out how they convey stereotypes in a show since it will strongly and permanently create stereotypes in our society. There is nothing wrong to be born in a poor family or in a working class family. Maybe the Clampetts are not educated people, but they are all sincere people and know how to self-support themselves.
