Have you ever seen The Simpsons on TV and saw Stephen Hawking in one of the episodes in that show? Believe it or not, one of the most famous physicists of the 20th century was presented on one of the popular animated comedies in America, The Simpsons. His presence on the show was comical but Stephen Hawking was more than a made up animated character, he was an actual person with a brilliant mind. Although Stephen Hawking has a disability of motor neurone disease, he was able to continue his work and amaze us all with his theories related to the universe. Stephen Hawking has great potential and his achievements were recognized and ranked along with the most talented scientist in history, like Albert Einstein and Sir isaac Newton.

Well the answer is simple, Stephen Hawking was always curious about the world and when he was younger he would admire the stars and question the unknown. He was also brave enough to study cosmology because back then that wasn’t a popular field and he knew that not many people knew about the universe. Hawking’s theories can be used today to help scientist think outside the box, to make new discoveries and understand how black holes work. Without Hawking’s achievements we wouldn’t know exactly what goes inside a black hole and how to destroy one if we needed to. Stephen Hawking received many awards throughout his career. From 1966 up to 1978 he received the Adams Prize,FRS, Eddington Medal, Maxwell Medal and Prize, Heineman Prize, Hughes Medal, and the Albert Einstein Award. From 1982 up to 1999, he received the CBE, RAS Gold Medal, Dirac Medal, Wolf Prize, CH, Prince of Asturias Award, Andrew Gemant Award, Naylor Prize and Lectureship, Lilienfeld Prize, Albert Medal (Royal Society of Arts). From 2006 up to 2015 he received the Copley Medal, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Fundamental Physics Prize, FRSA, and the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge
