Star Wars, a modern story of mythic adventure, follows the journey and growth of the protagonist, Luke Skywalker, through trials of hardship and periods of triumph as he learns to cope with his newfound responsibility of leadership and overcome his conflicts. Throughout the series many characters are introduced, and all play pivotal roles in the narrative, and help propel the story further. There are several symbols and images that are spread through the films, that create allusions to real world objects and people. Star Wars is a legendary example of how a multitude of themes can be present in a film, while all remaining pertinent to the plot. Ruling the galaxy was an Empire that was created from the ruins of an Old Republic. It was a time of civil war, where galaxies broke away from the Empire and waged a war. During one battle, blueprints for a intergalactic space station, the Death Star, were stolen by Rebel spies, and attempted to be smuggle back to the Rebellion. The Rebel spaceship attempting to deliver these plans were attacked and seized, but not before they hid the blueprints and sent them to a distant plant of Tatooine. While soldiers of the Empire searched Tatooine, a series of incidents occurred to a young desert farmer, Luke Skywalker, with dreams of being a fighter pilot in the Rebellion. He wound up with the Death Star plans and found the assistance of a Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Together they journeyed, meeting new people along the way, in attempt to aid the Rebellion attacking the Death Star before it could annihilate all humanity and restore freedom to the galaxy from the clutches of the Empire. Star Wars is an epic film that generates many different emotions to an audience ranging from, excitement, fear, hope, and happiness. All of this is achieved through its clever use of Rhetoric strategy and
