The 167th Airlift Wing, located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is an operational reserve wing operating under the West Virginia Air National Guard. During the recent Unit Effectiveness Inspection conducted by the Air Mobility Command’s Inspector General (AMC/IG), the section was found to be overall ineffective, in delivering mission assurance command and control primarily due to inefficient training. While the section as a whole is lacking the required training, through root cause analysis it was determined that this condition existed due to a lack of training among the command post leadership, who are responsible for providing and certifying the internal training requirements. While follow-on training will be required for the remainder of the section staff this training program will be focused on the Command Post Manager, Assistant Manager, as well as personnel that will be detailed as
