In St. Thomas Aquinas’s De Regno, the author states that “monarchy is the best government”, and inversely “tyranny is the worst kind of government”. With that premise it is then logical that any quality or attribute found on either form of government is directly inverse on the other. Therefore, when on Chapter 11 St. Thomas mentions that “although tyrants desire this very benefit of friendship, they cannot obtain it”, it logically follows that kings do obtain this benefit. For example, on The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki, Hrolf “was praised by both friends and enemies” and declares two champions “both my friends”. This textually proves the fact that Hrolf is able to have friends. But furthering the evidence, the last chapters of the book proof
