St.Patrick's day is a big religious holiday for the Irish. St.Patrick’s day is on on March 17th, because it was the day that he died. St.Patrick was a very important person because he converted the irish to Christianity. The shamrock is also an important part of St.Patrick's day. People wear them on this day because it symbolizes the holy trinity ,the father,the son,and the holy spirit. You may also know the tradition of wearing green on March 17th. But why green? “The Script” is an Irish trio Best known for their song Breakeven. they also have many other songs one of them being the song titled paint the town green. the song was a spinoff of the phrase paint the town red was is Ireland's national color is green they change the title.The script is not the only band of Irish musicians that did this. Another very famous group is the band U2. they are most commonly known for their song “It's a Beautiful Day”.Although that song is not about Ireland there are many like, “Sunday Bloody Sunday”,”Please” and “Wild Irish Rose”. These songs are based off of historical events that happened in Ireland.
