For a long time, there has been a huge controversy in America over the topic of abortion. Many argue that it is not morally ok to terminate a human pregnancy; whereas; others believe that it is ok if the mother chooses to, and that it is a women’s body and they can do as they please with it.

He talks as an experienced pastor and a trained philosopher, and also gives a fair argument on the different issues regarding this topic. Sproul addresses the questions that many in society have such as those who are unsure about abortion, the role of the government, a women’s right to her body, and how Christians should relate with those whom they disagree with. What I took from this is that the debate is not black and white, it’s not just pro-life and pro-choice. There are several different sides to the topic of abortion. There are three main topics that are discussed: the restrictions on abortion providers, counseling requirements, and restrictions on fetal pain. Many abortion facilities have been convicted with criminal charges and have been investigated over the unsanitary conditions abortions where given in. Then counseling requirements were needed because after examining different experiences women had it showed that women who had the abortions were prone to having mental health issues.
