Sprinkler System Research Paper

Water mist and water sprinkler systems are beneficial in residential areas because only water is used to eliminate fire. The systems are equipped with a heat sensing bulb, pipes, and nozzles that release water by pressure. Depending on the nozzle used, either large or small droplets of water are dispersed over the fire. The water mist and water spray systems are automatic, which means that it does not require the presence of humans to perform its duty. Since water is released in a droplet form, less water is consumed to eliminate fire. Although fire hydrants and fire alarms are useful, a water system is more beneficial in keeping residential areas safer. Even though other systems are available to suppress fire, a water system is more beneficial in residential areas.

Based on studies, the formation of fire has three elements, but further research argues that there is a fourth component that causes fire—referred to as fire triangle and tetrahedron, respectively. Water mist and water spray systems use 100% natural resource (h2o) to eliminate fire, causing less clean up and less exposure to toxic chemicals. The water system is more beneficial in residential areas not only because an automatic system releases water to extinguish fire, but it does not require the presence of humans. And since the water system does the task of eliminating fire, there is a lower chance of causing death or injury. Although fire alarm systems and fire hydrants are essential during a fire, a water system is more beneficial. (extinctfire.com.,
