Working in exercise science involves working in a variety of medical facilities, including working with sports medicine. Stated in careers in sports medicine, “Exercise Science, conversely is typically much larger, alternating from the study of how your body and intestines works at a cellular level when encountered with a disease, to improving the biomechanical effectiveness of an employee working in the line of work” (Careers in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science, n.d). Though, it is found sports medicine and exercise science, coincide together as a team. If not working together, the patients goal to achieve maximum performance may be less ideal than what they desired. In both, exercise science and sports medicine, are such a detailed aspect in career fields. As an example, exercise physiologist, dietitian, biomechanics, all are going to be a very task oriented occupation, yet if you love what you do then it all will pay off. However, the salary for someone with the title Exercise Physiologist may vary depending on a number of factors including industry, company size, location, years of experience and level of education (Salaries, 2016). Education required is having a high-school diploma or equivalent, meet the specific institutional requirements, and have a Bachelors degree or Masters in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or exercise physiology. Programs will include a comprehensive academic curriculum, such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and at least one culminating internship experience (Physiology, n.d.). I will go onto discussing another career in Exercise and Sports Science; is a Physical Therapist (PTs). “Physical therapists are health care professionals are able to diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest.
