Sports clothing has changed considerably from when sports first came out in the late 60s to the early 70s. Sports clothing from the 1960s to today is incredibly different from the material used, the price and the style. Today's athletic wear focuses more on the sport than the fashion in today's world. It was the opposite less than a century ago. Tennis was a sport created as a game for monks to play. Men would wear full-length pants, ties, and soft sole shoes, they wore this until 1946. In the 1960s, women’s clothing included fur, bustles, and full-length skirts nothing along the lines of today where women wear light and moveable clothing. People are wearing athletic clothes to school, the store, in the mall and around the house. Athletic apparel has changed so much over the years and the price has also changed with it, in today's world it so much more expensive than it used to be. In the 1990s you could get three pairs of athletic sweatpants for $13.99 to $28, at this point in time you can get a pair of sweatpants from Under Armor for about $47 to $68, if you get a pair from Nike you are more looking in the price range of $55 and up. You could buy a pair of sweatpants from walmart for about $5, they are made out of cotton instead of Performance fabrics. When clothing is made out of Performance fabrics like polyester, nylon, and spandex they keep away sweat better. When you use cotton for clothing it absorbs the sweat and makes you smell
