The history of Spain starts when after the completion of the reconquista , kingdoms inside of Spain united due to the Habsburg rule. During the same time Empire tried to expand to new world over the ocean. From 1500 - 1650 Habsburg was the most powerful state , until its fall of power. A place where it has a unique sight and past is El Encierro In the city of Pampola located in Navarra there’s a famous festival called El Encierro which means “Running of the Bulls”. On July 7 at 8am the first bull is released . every morning during the festival an another bull is released. The creation of the aqueduct took place from the frio river to the Segovia , the aqueduct consists of 24,000 granite blocks. It was constructed around 50 AD and still provides water to the city in 20th century. The purpose of the aqueduct is to carry water from Fuente Fría river to “La Acebeda” which is a distance of 9.3 miles. The water is first gathered at a tank called El Caserón , then led to a second channel called Casa de Aguas, the water settles out and over time will arrive at Plaza Azoguejo. In the city of Granada there’s a part palace and part garden called Alhambra. it was originally constructed in 889 as a small fortress, it was then rebuilt in 11th century. Moorish of the Emirate of Granada converted Alhambra to royal palace in 1333. The Alhambra palace was home to the Spain Emirs until 1492 when Catholic Monarchs conquered the Nasrid
