Since cocaine in centered in favelas the poor migrants would want to make money to better their way of life, so selling or trading drugs could be looked at as an easy way to make money and it wouldn’t be hard to find.
Transition Sentence: Aside from increasing the trade market, colonizing South America could cause forced labor.

Topic Sentence: Residents of South America could be put to work because lack of money or desperation.
Supporting Evidence #1: Being forced to work in a new country was common during the 1800’s, and “Over the next 400 years, over 6 million people were exported from the area of modern day Nigeria to work on New World plantations” ( Manzo, 2012 ).
Explanation: In South America mining is a large economic industry that provides twenty percent of the world’s steel and iron. This probably could cause poor to be forced to work because they have no other way of making money.

Also it just so happened that Chile has tree plantations and residents of South America could be forced to work on them if they were colonized. People who were poor and looking for work to be put to work because of desperation for money.

Evidence to Support Opposing Opinion: Utility systems, polluted area, and unreliable travel are all problem
“South American cities endure conflicts due to economically expanding too fast such as transportation” ( South America Resources, 2016 ).
Explanation: The U.S is a developed country that has good transportation skills with a lot of resources that could help build roads cars, buses, and other ways of transportation. Also with the resources that South America has and America brings over they could work together to benefit both
