This dynasty felt strongly about following the code of relationship, so they were followers of confucius. During the Tang dynasty the trade flourished. They got lots of goods that they needed. In order to get more resources, the Tang grew to the south for more trading opportunities. They used the Great Canal to make trade faster and easier.
