Solar System Expanding

Composition of the universe; What it is made of? How is the solar system expanding? What is a black hole? How do planets form? All of these questions are pretty basic, but there is more to this universe, and how it formed, than you think. Scientists have been trying to find out the answers to all these questions, but it still is not enough for a good explanation. Without the understanding of all these questions, it is impossible to come to any firm conclusions about how the universe evolved. For this reason, scientists should find out more information about the universe.
1) What does the universe consist of? As many people ask. Well the universe consists of many things. Some people think it is a big space full of darkness. You can call that

Many think of it as, will the universe ever end? It was during the 1920’s that a man named Edwin Hubble provided the first piece of evidence that explained that the universe that we live in was expanding. (The Expanding Universe: From Slowdown to Speed Up, Scientific American). This theory is known as the “Big Bang.” (How Do Scientists Know the Universe is Expanding?, Live Science). Hubble discovered that there was a relationship between the red shift, also known as the cosmological shift in the spectral lines from the galaxy and the distance to an remote galaxy. Scientists also found that dark energy is the name given to the anti-gravitating influence. This is why there is an accelerating rate of our universe expanding. Even though this seems right, there have been other theories. The first theory as you know is that the universe will expand, as Edwin Hubble tells us. The second theory is “The Big Crunch”; a time when the universe will keep expanding until it will collapse. (Astronomy: The Study of the Universe, Scholastic). Scientists still do not know what will happen exactly but there are many …show more content…
Many people wonder what a black hole is or if you can even get out if you fell in. You might be sad to here, but unfortunately once your in a black hole you can never get out. We basically understand what happens outside the black hole as you approach its event horizon, that infamous point of no return, therefore you are dead! On the other hand you would be spaghettified, as scientists say. Spaghettification (Yes, that is a technical term!) also known as the noodle effect is the vertical stretching and horizontal compression of objects into long thin shapes (like spaghetti) in a very strong gravitational field; it is caused by extreme tidal forces. The extreme tidal forces would be the event horizon of a black hole. The event horizon is where the escape speed exceeds the speed of light. How would you ever make it out? You would have to go faster than the speed of light. IMPOSSIBLE. Not only...but also, You can never escape the black hole’s gravity. According to theory, within a black hole there’s something called a singularity. (Whats inside a black hole?, By: Camille M. Carlisle). A singularity is what all the matter in a black hole gets crushed into. For instance, think of a black hole as a pit. You can never get out. Let me give you some advice; Do not fall into a black

It also explains how the Milky Way Galaxy is not the only Galaxy in the universe and how there could be more galaxies out in the universe. This chapter also describes that the Universe since the beginning. For example, the chapter elaborates more and Dr. Sagan claims that “we’ve been given special responsibilities by the Creator. It once seemed very reasonable to think of the Universe as beginning just a little before our collective memory is obscured by the passage of time and the illiteracy of our ancestors.…

The big bang is the rapid expansion of matter from a state of extremely high density and temperature that according to current cosmological theories marked the origin of the universe. 3. This is the red shift the displacement of spectral lines toward longer wavelengths (the red end of the spectrum) in radiation from distant galaxies and celestial objects. This is interpreted as a Doppler shift that is proportional to the velocity of recession and thus to distance. Stars 1.…

Dr. Romilly describes the black hole as a Gargantuan older spinning black hole, he says, “that the black hole is a more gentle singularity” and he wants to use the black hole to send their robot TARS to collect data to help the people of Earth. However, due to unforeseen circumstances out of their control the have to use the Gargantuan to slingshot and push them out of the black holes gravity. Cooper ends up sacrificing his own life to save Dr. Brand and he projects his space ship along with TARS into the black hole to shave weight off of the main ship. In the black hole Captain Cooper experiences flashes of light and ship malfunctions.…

Zombies, nuclear explosions, black holes. There are many theories on how the world will end. As Christians, we have the opportunity to look at prophecy in the Bible to have an idea of what the end will be like. However, the Bible can be confusing or unclear, allowing for multiple interpretations. Considering the end of time, we will look at four different views on what the millennium is and where it is placed on the timeline.…

Taylor Cockrell The Universe: its many theories Throughout history, knowledge and ideas have been passed on and tossed around about how we all came to inhabit this earth, this Universe. Many theories came from the Ancient Greeks, Romans and many different interpretations of the Christian Bible! In this essay I will talk about three main points throughout history that impacted how the universe can be interpreted, through theories. How the Ancient Greeks impacted thought and their ideas, Nicolaus Copernicus the Polish astronomer, and Galileo Galilei the Italian mathematician and their theories.…

We live in a world that does not just hand us all the answers. There is no ‘cheat sheet’ for the secrets of the universe. Each group of ‘truth seekers” has its own beliefs, and “knowledge,” about the actuality of God and an afterlife. This lack of omniscience compounded by all these different beliefs and theories opens the door for numerous “what ifs” about the nature of God and our universe, and the “life” that awaits us after we die.…

Last autumn I found myself among the mountains of Tibet, wandering through the high desert created by the rain shadow of the mighty Himalayas, looking up at the cascade of unblinking stars that stretched across the night sky. The stars, in their steady glow, revealed a rather strange sight that I could best describe as being both disturbing and fascinating at the same time. It felt like they were giving me an exclusive window to look at the inner workings of the world and everything in it. According to the scientific community, the universe began its "life" roughly 14 billion years ago when space, time and even the atoms in our bodies formed in less than a blink of an eye.…

The Big Bang is the most widely accepted theory about how our universe first began. This theory was first proposed by Belgian priest Georges Lemaître in the 1920’s. It suggests the universe was once condensed into a space equivalent to less than a grain of sand and expanded to billions of kilometers wide in about a second producing incredible amounts of heat. Everything you see is from that rapid expansion. That’s difficult to imagine, however, 3 major pieces of evidence support this; Hubble’s Law, Cosmic Microwave Background Information, and Big Bang Nucleosynthesis.…

The Islamic culture had many achievements that were the bases for some of the technology and resources that we use today. Some of their achievements came in the medical field and are mentioned when it says “Rulers wanted qualified physicians treating their ills” (Document 1) which shows why some of these advancements were made. During this time period the average life span was a third of what is today and rulers wanted to be able to be in power longer which meant new ideas in the medical field…

Something from Nothing: The Big Bang Even though the equal balance of matter and antimatter created in the beginning of the universe as proposed by the Big Bang theory might have annihilated each other before any stars could form, the inflation model of the Big Bang accounts for the unequal level of matter-antimatter existing today and how stars could form before matter-antimatter reactions destroyed the universe. The existence of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR). is in line with what is predicted by the Big Bang Theory, specifically that the CMBR exists. The expansion of the universe outward also supports the Big Bang theory as the expansion of the universe, just like the expansion of an explosion, reveals that there was…
