Part I - Discuss the "nature versus nurture" argument and provide support for each aspect of the controversy.
“Nature versus nurture” is a concept within psychology whereby the extend of which aspects of behavior is inherited or acquired. Human behavior is largely influenced bu both of these factors when it comes to behavior. There are characteristics that we inherit and others that we develop, depending on or environment and experiences.

It is believed that some genes cannot be activated with certain environmental input. For example, development of vision relays on visual stimulus. Environmental factors such as parent’s habits, friends and partners are a major input to our emotional development. A loving nurturing family and friends will ensure a successful individual, whereas an abused environment will produce an individual with emotional instability.
Part II - Discuss how mass media and media images affect gender socialization.
Mass media consist of television, press, radio, magazines, books and the internet. Mass media plays a substantial role in modern world by broadcasting information and entertainment. “Gender socializing is the process of learning the social expectations and attitude associated with one’s sex.”
