What is sociological perspective? What are the main/key components? Henslin definition of sociological perspective is “Stresses the social contexts in which people live.”(Henslin, 2015) meaning that many factors of socialization influence people's lives. There are three main sociological perspective in sociology- functional, conflict, and symbolic interactionism.
Functional perspective is mainly produced by Herbert Spencer, and Emile Durkheim. Herbert Spencer was sometimes called the “second founder of sociology” and believed in “survival of the fittest” better known as social darwinism. (Henslin 2015) This perspective is a society that is composed of many different social organizations that all depends on each
