Sociological Eye And Its Blinders Summary

As per the assignment assigned by our professor Mr. Micheal Hughey we had to write an essay regarding the topic “Sociological Eye and Its Blinders” written by the writer Randall Collins. The main reason to write this essay by the writer was a question of many people i.e. Is there a core to sociology? Simply, sociology is the systematic study of a human society. Sociology is a discipline, and it takes discipline to understand it. The main theme of this essay is to outline the core essence of sociology as a discipline.
Mainly, in this essay the writer talks all the thing about sociology looking through the perspective of a sociological eye. The sociological eye is a unique in its own. More or less the discipline of a sociology always exists. It sometimes come and sometimes goes out. Almost everything is bounded by something in this world and the process is called hybrid. And giving an example of a hybrid the writers tell that the forming communities have been split up in today’s world. But there is nothing called loss in life. Between the two sources of a sociologist if we ever have to choose between any one of them we certainly have to choose a sociological eye. Because if a sociological eye is lost then everything is lost. Without a sociological eye a sociologist loses its importance in the society. And similarly without it a sociologist cannot even convience the whole public. We can see that all the thing that we saw from a sociological eye is reveal through Anderson’s book. We can also expand other visions through a sociological eye. Thus, a sociology can be fascinating for some reason then it can also be frustrating for the same reason. To sum up, being a sociologist one can poses a unique character in the society as well as the whole
