She told me that people know they are her parents so why she needs to call them mom or dad. Therefore, she wants to call them by their first names. Dissimilarity, Vietnamese people are very strict in our naming under kinship so everyone must call others formally or informally depending on his position in the family. We cannot call old people by their name, if we do not want to receive any trouble. For example, I have to call my mom is “mẹ,” my dad is “ba,” as a suitable child. However, if I call them Nga or Phú, I am absolutely they will get mad at me. They will re-teach me about how to build good behaviors. If I do not follow their lesson, they won’t love me much as right now or maybe cut my allowance off. In fact, I really do not want to imagine what will happen to them and me if I make it
