An Impolite Person Analysis

I still remember my cousin’s action, which let him be an impolite person in my family’s thoughts. It happened in Lunar New Year when all of my relatives stayed at my grandfather’s house. One of my cousins had called his older sister “mày” which is bad word. My grandfather was very angry, and then he educated him for almost an hour. After all, my cousin realized that he could not call other people like that because it leaded him to be an impolite person. In my country, the way you dressing people are very significant. It is highly appreciated and respected in a community. These social values are conducted from generation to generation. In English, we just use common words for everyone, but for us, we will call another differently when we communicate. In America, people are more open mind in addressing. For example, I usually hear my neighbor called her parents by name nevertheless she did not get any trouble form it. For the first several times I hear it, I was really surprised and thought she was an immoral child, but actually it is usual here. She told me that people know they are her parents so why she needs to call them mom or dad. Therefore, she wants to call them by their first names. Dissimilarity, Vietnamese people are very strict in our naming under kinship so everyone must call others formally or informally depending on his position in the family. We cannot call old people by their name, if we do not want to receive any trouble. For example, I have to call my mom is “mẹ,” my dad is “ba,” as a suitable child. However, if I call them Nga or Phú, I am absolutely they will get mad at me. They will re-teach me about how to build good behaviors. If I do not follow their lesson, they won’t love me much as right now or maybe cut my allowance off. In fact, I really do not want to imagine what will happen to them and me if I make it
