Social Psychology has always been focused on the application of theory and research. Theoretically speaking, social psychology views behavior as interaction between certain characteristics and several situational influences. Social psychology is the branch of psychology that deals with social interactions. It uses methods to understand and explain the thought process, feelings, and behavior of individuals that are influenced. (Lomas, 2015) Even though social psychology has several components, one subject of interest is persuasion.

Female adolescents were told to watch either only a preventive video tape, watch a video and have a post-video activity such as verbal discussion and a written exercise, or simply undergo no intervention whatsoever.
