Social Norms and Social Stratification are two of the most important characteristics to society. They help form the basis that any individual should comply to in order to fit well with society. Norms are the beliefs, values and behaviours that society has come to a consensus about. They essentially regulate interactions between individuals, giving “internalized culture” Norms are not meant to be thought about, it is not like every person within the society came together and made a chart about what is right and what is wrong.
