Unfortunately, Mrs. Lyons is the woman who steals one of Mrs. Johnstone’s children named Eddie, one of the twins. Miserably, Mrs.Johnstone doesn’t have enough money to take care of so many children therefore Mrs.Lyons makes a deal with Mrs.Johnstone and she hesitantly accepts. The deal was that Mrs.Johnstone would serve and become Mrs.Lyons maid so she could see her child (Eddie) every single day and simultaneously earn money too. Later in the story, Mrs, Lyons couldn’t stand seeing Mrs Johnstone everyday because it always reminder her that she is Eddie’s mother. Mrs.Lyons sacks Mrs.Johnstone from the job. “I’ll find someone else. I’ll find somebody who doesn’t spend all day fussing over the baby.” “Sit down. As the story proceeds, destiny shows a path where Mickey and Eddie meet as a friendly pact when they are 7 years old. At this point of the story these twins are not aware that they are blood brothers and they were born from two different social classes. They get to know more about each other and become best friends after the pages move along. This shows Eddie personality towards Mickey even thou Eddie is wealthy and has a good living conditions but on the other hand Mickey is Mrs.Johnstone leftover son who wasn’t the chosen one. Mickey is not at all prosperous and doesn’t get everything he wants. If you compare this too Mrs.Lyons and attitude towards Mrs.Johnstone is completely the opposite because in the olden days money use to dominate all. Mickey isn’t raised up in an orderly or educated manner, on the other hand Eddie has got full schooling but Mickey on the other hand doesn't have manners, he cusses more often and uses slang words- "but I'm not playin' now cos I'm pissed off."
