As I revisited the interview, I realized that I took the conversation for granted, I recognized where I could have asked more follow-up questions instead of taking for granted I fully understood the student's point of view. Just because we are in the same program studying the same subjects does not suggest all our views are the same. The second matter I may have done differently was to conduct the interview face to face. One fact that I learned new is that interviews reveal details than just general conversations. This is not the first time I have spoken to this student about social change. Since the questions were specific, I learned a few facts about their view about social change than I did when we had casual conversations. Using an interviewing method is a valuable tool since it gives a chance to dig deeper into a person’s thoughts that a survey cannot provide. Using the interview method provides a chance to follow-up with questions otherwise left unanswered by surveys. For example, if you give a subject a survey on a topic and all the answers lineups, but one question points in an opposite direction, an interview will allow the researcher to ask why did the respondent answer that question
