The greenhouse effect, regardless of all the disagreement that surrounds the term, it is one of the most well debated because of it’s scientific uncertainties. This is where science looks to the past snow and ice caps of the northern and southern hemispheres for their inquiries. These hemispheres mostly untouched by human hands can pass on their information about the past and the possible future. Where the past is frozen in place, waiting for discovery and considered to be a vastly useful tool in determining earth’s future climate change and its possible diminishing ice caps. It is important to understand what the earth's past climate changes were previously to man to better understand the future availability of the snow cover, glaciers, ice caps, ice sheets and its climate change.
