The skinhead culture has a bad reputation,but there were actually only a small part of the culture that was what it's was made out to be. In the beginning of the movie, Shaun joins a skinhead gang. The guys in the gang are typical skinheads for this time period, shaved heads, boots, Fred Perry;s, the whole thing. This type of skinheads has existed since the beginning of skinheads, from its start in Jamaica (In the form of rude boys) until now. The rude boy culture turned into the skinhead culture during the mass migration from Jamaica to England during the late sixties. We can see this in the case of skinheads, they were thought to be racist and homophobic, but in reality was for the opposite. We can also see that there are similarities between the world then and the world now that we need to fix. The problems with racism for example, if we don't do something about it we will surely start a war or something that will destroy us as a species.
