The most common types of skin cancer are Basal cell cancer, Melanoma, Squamous cell skin carcinoma, and squamous cell lung carcinoma ( “Google” ). 40% to 50% of fair-skinned people who live to be about 65 will develop at least one kind of skin cancer ( “Skin Cancer Signs and Symptoms” ). The most dangerous skin cancer is Melanoma. Melanoma is a form of skin cancer that spreads and potentially becoming lethal. This happens when cancerous growths develop when unrepaired DNA damages skin cells, triggering mutations that lead the skin cells to multiply rapidly and form malignant tumor. Most often caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunshine or tanning beds. Melanoma often appears as moles;some develop from moles. A great number of melanomas are black or brown,but they can also be pink, skin-colored, red, purple, blue, or white.
