What is it?
Skin cancer is when you cells grow faster than they’re supposed. You skin’s top layer will become affected first. There are 3 main skin cancers.
HOW DO YOU GET IT?
Skin cancer is mainly caused by the sun’s rays. The sun gives off something called ultraviolet radiation and this is bad for you as it damages your skin cells. Skin cancer can also be hereditary. This means that if your granny, grandpa or mommy and daddy have had it or still have it, you also stand a chance to get it. But don’t stress. Skin cancer can be treated if you find it early.
How do I find it and how do I prevent it?
Make sunscreen your best friend! Put in on every day before school or playtime and wear a hat. If you see any ugly or funny looking moles or sores
