Six Poetic Elements In Bac Back To The Future

Improved Essays
In this exercise, I chose my four favorite movies and arranged each movie with six poetic elements. The six poetic elements are plot, character, idea, dialogue, spectacle, and music. As I was rearranging the six categories with my four movies, I realized several similarities to the genres of movies with the poetic elements.
To give an example, Spider-Man (2002) is a character-driven movie. The movie expands on the main character’s personal development as a superhero. Throughout the movie Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) starts to understand his responsibility as a superhero by fighting against Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (. The main plot of the movie is reassured when both Peter Parker and Norman Osborn find out about their superpowers, which creates a cause-effect chain throughout the movie. Both characters struggle to fight for supremacy and this led to Norman Osborn’s demise as he kills himself at the end of the movie.

Back to The Future focuses on the ability to change your future, which is the emphasized as the main theme of the movie. The main character, Marty McFly, accidentally travels back to the year 1955, where he accidentally meets his parents. By meeting his parents he creates a catastrophe in the space-time continuum. Throughout the movie, Marty McFly focuses on fixing the problems which he made in 1955 to prevent unprecedented events from occurring as he travels back to the future. Furthermore, the dialogue is used consistently in the movie. Marty McFly spent most of his time talking to his parents from the past to ensure McFly fixes his mistakes. As the movie ends, McFly soon realizes the appreciation of his life and chooses the make good decisions in the

After listening to Serial, a podcast based on the awaiting trial of a high school star Adnan, I believe that he is guilty of killing his, at the time, girlfriend Haemin Lee. First of all, Adnan doesn’t anything specific from that afternoon. If anyone got a call from the police saying that your friend is missing, you would definitely remember every detail of what happened that day because it is not something that you can just forget. Just to add to that, if your friend is still missing the next day, you would go over all of the specifics with the people that youre both friends with to try and put together every piece of the story. So to me, that makes absolutely no sense.…

Apart from the actors' interpretations, what struck me most is the script, as Lea Thompson, an actress who plays Marty McFly's mother, says: "I know people from the University of Southern California who are studying The script in kind of how good it is Great. " Thanks to the script, the characters and, therefore, the interpretation, would not convey so much to the story. According to Dan Harmon, creator of "Comunity" and "Rick & Morty" (series of drawings of a scientific and his disciple who travel through the time while living adventures); Says that "Back to the future broke with all the rules, Marty McFly is a protagonist without defect, who learns nothing, has no unconscious desire that needs to be fulfilled, unless we have the idea that…
